Low Maintenance Gardens

There is no such thing as a ‘No Maintenance’ garden. All gardens need some time spent on them to maintain their tidiness or attractiveness.

However, we are able to construct Low Maintenance gardens for those who enjoy seeing/using a well kept garden but do not have the time or are unable to devote much effort ( eg through age, illness or disability). These are generally constructed in such a way as to reduce weeding by employing landscape fabric covered with a gravel, bark or chipping mulch.

Such an approach can be used for a small or large area, and can also incorporate appropriate plants that require little tending.

Not only are weeds inhibited but the membrane and mulch also helps conserve water in the covered soil. This approach may be used for an entire garden when combined with paving features, or for small plots within the garden.
